Each year, the Foundation consults with district administrators to help identify areas where we can make a significant difference and support the staff and students in innovative ways. Our annual “key initiatives,” which serve as a framework for our funding decisions, are born in part from the seeds of those conversations.
Having established the structure, we now seek to support projects, programs, and experiences contained within those major categories by forming partnerships, collaborating with donors, and raising funds. All of these efforts contribute to enhancing the academic journeys of Wilson Area students.
This year, we’re focusing on the areas below and are motivated by exciting opportunities to have a deep and meaningful impact.

2022 Key Initiatives
In 2022, the Wilson Area Partners in Education Foundation increased its impact across the district by focusing on six key areas: STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning, enrichment programming, multimedia career exploration, mental health, innovation grants and advancements in technology.
Calculations show that our work in 2022 will directly impact a minimum of 1000 Wilson Area students by June of 2023.
