Wilson Alumni Return to Share Their Knowledge

On November 1st, Wilson Area alumni and former WASD educators, Gary Laubach and Scott Barr, spent time sharing their knowledge about sports broadcasting with Jason Kruk’s WAHS multimedia class. Their stories, advice and insight about sports broadcasting were both heartwarming and valuable for students considering careers in multimedia.

Between them, Gary (‘64) and Scott (‘80) have over 80 years of experience in both TV and radio sports broadcasting, with a great deal of that time spent working together. Their presentation, which highlighted notable moments from that impressive span of years, was recorded and shared with other multimedia-related classes throughout the district.

We thank Gary and Scott for taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in the Foundation’s 2022 multimedia career exploration initiative.
