We are thrilled to announce our financial support for The Ukulele Project: “Uke Can Do It!” in conjunction with our 2022 – 2023 Teacher Innovation Grant Program.
“Uke Can Do It!” will provide an equitable opportunity for all 4th grade students within the district to learn an instrument. Inspired by Avona Elementary School’s ukulele music program, Mr. Cody Gemmell and Miss Sarafina Schultheis applied for WAPEF funding to purchase instruments and incorporate ukulele learning at Williams Township and Wilson Borough elementary schools. Because of this effort, every student in grades 4-12 will have learned how to play the ukulele by the year 2030.
Congratulations to Mr. Gemmell, Miss Schultheis and all of the students who will benefit from this wonderful initiative.
